Our Oregon K-12 students are losing competitive ground in today’s global economy as our school budgets decline and electives such as engineering and computer science are cut.
What is OGPC?
In its tenth year, the Oregon Game Project Challenge (OGPC) is the only statewide game development competition in Oregon! OGPC uses game development as a means of engaging students in various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Design, and Mathematics) disciplines while having loads of fun. OGPC uses games as the medium to bring programming, art, music, and storytelling together. These kids will be the STEAM workforce in a few years!
How can OGPC help you?
Finding and training technology professionals is one of the biggest challenges for any company. OGPC offers your company the opportunity to invest in your future in Oregon. When you sponsor OGPC, you receive brand exposure and name recognition. Your company is associated with an established, quality, education initiative. You have the opportunity to influence and improve the education of students in your state and local community.
How can you help OGPC?
Help us out with a tax-deductible donation for things like trophies and prizes ($1,400 last year), giveaways such as t-shirts for participants and volunteers ($1,200 last year), and facility rental and fees ($2500). Larger donors get recognition on our website, materials, and events. OGPC is also in need of speakers, judges, and other volunteers for our primary event.
